Title: Computer Information Technology - Cyber Defense 9/10 Month Tenure Track Faculty Anticipated Start Date: August 2025 School: School of Technology, Engineering and Math Department: Department of Computer Technology FLSA Status: Exempt Required Documents Needed to Upload at Time of Application: Cover Letter, Resume, transcripts and three professional references. Reference check requirements: Three (3) professional references, two (2) of which should be former or current supervisors and (1) professional reference. Personal references (friends, clergy, customers, relatives) are not considered acceptable references. A professional reference such as a co-worker may be used as one of the references. WORK SCHEDULE: Regular Full-time Tenure-Track Faculty/ traditional and/or online delivery of courses. JOB OBJECTIVE: Teach in the area of Computer Information Technology - Cyber Defense according to college policy. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

JOB STANDARDS: Minimum Faculty Qualifications A master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours (or equivalent) in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, cyber defense, or other related field is required. Industry certifications, such as those from CompTIA and ISC2, are preferred. Previous experience is not required. Teaching experience, especially in a community college environment, is preferred. Pellissippi State Community College recognizes that the ability to communicate effectively is an essential skill for all academic personnel to perform competently.
