About the Opportunity:We are seeking a skilled NDT Inspector II to join our manufacturing team in Prescott, AZ. In this role, you will perform all aspects necessary for non-destructive testing (NDT) used in the manufacturing of Turbine Engine components and employee certification test samples according to NAS410 Certification Level II. This includes performing various NDT methods such as Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrate inspections. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the proper procedures for setting up equipment and conducting NDT inspections. You will also be responsible for maintaining and calibrating testing equipment and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities:Set up and operate NDT equipment to perform Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrate inspections.Maintain magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrate equipment and logs such as process controls, survey meters, chemical mixers, and inspection booths.Perform NDT tests according to procedures and criteria based on NAS410 Level II certification.Conduct basic NDT evaluations and ensure all tests are in line with industry standards.Ensure all equipment and tools are properly calibrated and maintained.Continuously work towards achieving NAS410 Level III certification through ongoing training and certification.Assist in the training of Level I employees under the guidance of the NAS410 Level III Technician.Develop and improve NDT procedures for new and existing products.Maintain current NAS410 Level II certification and stay up-to-date with industry changes.Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills in daily operations. Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).Minimum 1-2 years of NDT experience, specifically in Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrate inspections.NAS410 Level I certification in NDT methods. Preferred Qualifications:Proficient in the setup, maintenance, and calibration of NDT equipment.Ability to perform NDT tests and evaluations according to established procedures.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.Willingness to learn and grow within the NDT field, including advancing to Level III certification.Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.Knowledge of Codes, Standards, and other contractual documents relevant to NDT methods.Ability to write reports and technical procedures.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Compensation & Benefits:This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience. Expected weekly hours: 40-50. We offer a competitive benefit package, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements, among other factors.
