Job Description: Perkins Coie is seeking a qualified, dynamic individual to take on the role of Product Liability Paralegal Assistant and become an expert in navigating a client's internal systems to gather information related to legal matters as well as navigating complex technology systems to locate, organize, and compile documents and data requested by attorneys and paralegals for use in litigation. It is likewise the responsibility of the Paralegal Assistant to maintain indices and filing, prepare documents, and assemble information for the presentation of legal evidence. Similarly, they will develop strong working relationships with, and deep knowledge about a large, diverse technology client. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED Ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple assignments, and work well under pressure. Proficiency in MS Office Applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel. SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED Ability to navigate and deliver results within a large, complex organization. Candidates would ideally have an innate curiosity, tolerance for ambiguity, a sense of humor, and continued interest in experimenting and innovating, inventing, and simplifying. Nimble use of technology. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of one year of related work experience, or equivalent. Likewise, having a Paralegal Assistant or legal support experience is preferred, as well as having an AA or BA degree preferred. Experience with project management or knowledge management is also preferred.
