Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Supporting the planning, analysis, permitting, design, and inspection of waterfront development projects including marinas, shoreline protection, beaches, dredging, and related projects;
  • Developing figures and plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D to support waterfront planning and engineering projects;
  • Supporting the preparation of feasibility studies, engineering plans, cost estimates, technical reports, and specifications;
  • Supporting the Waterfront team with field investigations;
  • Assisting with the development of state and federal permit applications pertaining to waterfront projects;
  • Supporting construction administration on waterfront development projects.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in coastal/ocean engineering, civil engineering, coastal science, construction management, or closely related field (required)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication skills, with a specific focus on business/technical writing.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and in a team setting.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D)/GIS.
  • Basic knowledge of surveying and surveying principles. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
  • Valid passport (or eligibility obtain) and ability/willingness to travel internationally to support waterfront project work. (preferred)
  • Prior internship experience in AEP field. (preferred)
  • Boating experience. (preferred)
