Torch Technologies is seeking a Technical Advisor/Project Engineer to join a team to assist the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing's Director of Plans, Programs, and Requirements (350 SWW/A58) at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation. Responsibilities: This position requires a highly motivated individual with extensive experience.The successful candidate will provide key advisory services to the 350/SWW leadership in facilitating overall operations across the organization. The position is best suited for individuals with EW operations and testing as well as the day-to-day operations in a USAF wing or higher-level organization, or with equivalent sister services. The candidate will provide advice and assistance in support of space, financial, manpower and other resources management requirements, identification and prioritization for current and future 350 SWW activities including coordination with the Comptroller, Financial and Contracting Analysts, Security, Facilities, Manpower, Civilian and Military Personnel, and other Wing Staff Agencies as necessary. The candidate will be required to learn about a wide variety of technical and programmatic subjects, well enough to work with unit Chief Engineers and ask pertinent questions then present findings to wing leadership. This role will create presentations and other communications and should be experienced at writing briefings/materials for the wing leadership level. Required Qualifications: The candidate will possess an applicable Masters' degree with ten or more years of relevant experience; 12 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of Masters' degree The candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations. Applicants must have a working knowledge of computer systems and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software. The successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. A Top Secret Clearance is required, and the candidate must be eligible for SCI. Preferred Qualifications: Highly desirable (but not required) attributes include operational EW experience on any CAF platform. If not, experience in USAF/Joint operational employment of Airpower, or similar combat arms experience is suitable for the position. Previous experience in RF integration, EM spectrum management, and digital signal processing is desired; also desired is knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering. Experience working on a staff, preferably the 5/8 at the Wing or higher level is desired; however experience on coordinating test activities, the POM process, and Electronic Warfare coordination and planning may be suitable.
