Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will assist with various aspects of human resources including recruiting and hiring, training, report and analyze data for projects, conduct research to determine the effectiveness of Human Resource programs and policies and assist with various other projects.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Reviews resumes, interviews applicants and refers qualified candidates to hiring manager for hourly and salaried non-exempt job opportunities.
  • Pre-screens applicants and makes recommendations to Director, Human Resources for salaried exempt level job opportunities.
  • Maintains records of resumes, applicant flow and employee selection.
  • Attends job fairs to promote Mannington and build network of applicants.
  • Coordinates all new hire process including orientation. Conducts new hire orientation for salaried non-exempt associates.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees to address workplace concerns and grievances.
  • Provide guidance to managers on handling employee performance, conduct, and disciplinary issues in compliance with company policies.
  • Work with leadership to develop strategies that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Maintain employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies related to employee behavior, attendance, and workplace safety.
  • Manages background check and drug screening process., including administration of in-house drug testing.
  • Prepares special reporting for various analysis.
  • Manages and audits I-9 collection process


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
