Boys Town is seeking an experienced individual for a Direct Marketing Analyst position. This role tracks and evaluates the effectiveness of large-scale direct Mail campaigns and multi-channel programs. You will support the Direct Marketing teams by creating recommendations for strategies and improvements to ensure financial effectiveness and on-time results. Additionally, you will build and maintain reports and databases in an effort to track and project campaign results and budgets and create marketing efforts focusing on donor acquisition and renewal across multiple channels including direct mail, email and social media. You will also analyze results to drive continuous improvement and maximize donor retention and create new donor activity. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Applies, tests, and analyzes software applications to ensure delivery of planned requirements; develops, documents, and tests software that meets system specifications and user requirements.
  • Ensures software applications meet lettershop and postal requirements and regulations through proper application and testing.
  • Identifies and leverages software applications to maximize efficiencies, meet required timelines to match each project's scope.
  • Collaborates with project team members to turn marketing and business requirements into detailed and designed print components and packages.
  • Develops and evaluates segmentation and selection of proper target audiences for renewal direct mail marketing efforts.
  • Develops new software applications or modules using one of the organization's standard programming languages.
  • Maintains and updates existing software applications.
  • Collaborates with senior staff regarding the planning and implementation of software additions or revisions.
  • Tests application programs thoroughly by performing unit testing.
  • Maintains coding standards and naming conventions.
  • Develops support materials for developed software including program documentation and operational instructions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of software development procedures and best practices.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills. Excellent critical thinking, analytical, problem solving and attention to detail skill sets.
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner.
  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable conclusions and recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and of SQL databases structures; ability to read and write SQL statements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related area, or equivalent combination or education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of programming and developing experience required.
  • Experience in UNIX OS and DOS/Windows environment and/or Microsoft BI Software (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), .NET programming, HTML, XML, JavaScript, ASP.NET, C#.NET, Blackbaud Enterprise CRM required.
