DHS VALUES: High Performance Collaboration Continuous Improvement A Shared Vision Customer-Centered Solutions How you make a difference in this role: The Financial Strategic Analysis Coordinator position sits within the Operations Division in the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS). The Operations Division is responsible for managing the infrastructure that supports TDHS in serving Tennesseans and includes the Office of Procurement, Facilities Management, Budget, Fiscal, Information Technology, and the Data Strategies Unit divisions. TDHS is developing collaborative and detailed financial analysis models to assist Program and Executive Leadership with management decisions. Due to the increased need of high-quality financial analysis and data review, an additional position to support the Financial Strategic Analysis division is required. This position supports the One DHS model, as it combines financial analysis with programmatic goals of the Department, to help fulfill TDHSs mission and provide quality service to our customers. Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Strategic Analysis, the Financial Strategic Analysis Coordinator will be responsible for performing high-quality analyses, tracking monthly financial data, collaborating with Budget and Fiscal, and providing data-based recommendations to Program and Departmental leadership. This position will have regular tasks while also supporting the Director with ad hoc larger projects, as needed. This position will play a key role in increasing financial understanding throughout the Department and will help shape the Department's financial future through recommendations and analyses. The work done in this role will have a lasting impact on Tennesseans and the Department's customers. A strong skillset in critical thinking, problem solving, and communication is required. The Financial Strategic Analysis Coordinator reports to the Director of Financial Strategic Analysis and is classified as Executive Service. Key Responsibilities:
