As the Senior Flight Test Engineer, you will work with the interdisciplinary development team on highly complex and challenging technical projects. This is a 100% on-site position with some travel required.

  • Prepare and present all materials required for the pre and post-testing Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events (i.e., Test Readiness Review, System Verification Review), providing T&E input to other SETR events (e.g., System Requirements Review, Preliminary/Critical Design Review) as required.
  • Conduct background research and provide analytical support and recommendations for the development of data collection plans for testing the operational effectiveness and suitability.
  • Document the test case traceability to the requirements specifications to ensure all requirements have adequate coverage.
  • Test planning for integration testing.
  • Develop documentation to include test reports, procedures, and plans.
  • Participate in the development of test planning and analysis tools, processes, and software.
  • Prepare flight cards, attend flight briefs/debriefs, support date reduction/analysis, identify and document deficiencies, and support flight test plan and test report preparation.
  • Position may require flexibility in working hours.
  • Position will require the ability to travel.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM area of study
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience related to the duties described above
  • Experience working in the Special Access Program (SAP) environment
  • Proficient in use of Industry Standard software tools (Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Decision-making skills that promote working autonomously from Government oversight when managing and executing projects, tasks and work assignments.
  • Demonstrated public speaking and briefing skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage, motivate, and lead teams.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: aircraft system/subsystem development test and evaluation, training systems, or software and hardware for software application development.
  • The ability to use Python for data analysis is a plus.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $120,000 - $160,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
