Location: NAS Patuxent River, MD

Security Clearance Requirement: Secret

Telework Eligible? No - 100% On-Site

As the Production Systems Engineer, you will join a team of dedicated aviation professionals supporting the Production IPT for NAVAIR's Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-262). This is an on-site position that will require an active Secret security clearance.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the execution and management of systems engineering processes in PMA-262 Production IPT
  • Assist in the execution of the Engineering/Data Requirements Agreement Plan (EDRAP) process to ensure that appropriate airworthiness artifacts are reviewed/approved in order to support the class desk in issuance of a flight clearance
  • Participate in the development of systems engineering artifacts required for a request for proposal and evaluating proposers' systems engineering artifacts in proposals
  • Perform technical management to include schedule assessment of vendor and supplier activities
  • Participate in regular interactions with other system engineers from the Prime contractor and other government direct vendors
  • Assist in reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for production line cut-in and technical impacts
  • Assist the Production IPT with technical reviews, requirements verification, CDRLs, and other data, and determine the applicability of technical comments provided by SMEs during document reviews
  • Assist the Production IPT in the collection, organization, distribution, and interpretation of technical data relating to system test and evaluation including production acceptance testing conducted by the Prime Contractor
  • Coordinate SETR events, including tailoring and scoring of SETR checklists, development of agenda and event coordination, and development of related briefing materials
  • Position may require flexibility in working hours

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • You have a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in systems engineering, or in an engineering support role
  • You have prior experience supporting NAVAIR programs
  • You are familiar with Systems Engineering Processes and Concepts and are able to effectively communicate these concepts across a team of technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • You possess professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $125,000 - $150,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
