Your opportunity

New Relic is looking for a Lead People Operations Partner based in the US to manage critical HR initiatives and projects within the PeopleOps function. We are seeking a candidate who can think big, lead end-to-end process execution, cultivate collaborative relationships, and complete people initiatives across our global business!

The Lead People Operations Partner is both a strategic and a hands-on role that provides programmatic leadership to a matrixed organization and will build a culture of Global Shared Services, launching new people programs that will affect the employee experience, and make a lasting impression at New Relic.

This is a great opportunity to own new and exciting people Operation projects to optimize existing or implement new technologies to acquire efficiencies supporting a global organization. What you'll do



  • Support as Tier 3 our Global HR Operations shared services (GSS) program incorporating HR standard methodologies.
  • Partner with HR team members to understand Global compliance needs, implement robust processes to address potential risks, and improve ease of use of data integrity, reports, and analytics.
  • Support the People service roadmap and manage service delivery in line with objectives and results.
  • Provide strategic direction on Global Immigration, export cases, and escalations working closely with our Immigration Attorney provider
  • Provide operational and administrative support for New Relics Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) and HR Generalists while also partnering with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Legal) to manage and perform operational needs of People programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate US unemployment cases on time
  • Develop subject matter expertise on global operations within the service area; facilitate effective partner discussions.


This role requires



  • 6+ years of validated experience in HR People process, policy, and/or program design for service organizations and leading business transformation initiatives with measurable results.
  • Demonstrated Program Management experience working within HR / People Operations Global scaled environments.
  • Strong immigration and global mobility experience
  • Deep understanding of HR Operations, the employee lifecycle process (new hire, Terminations, LOA, benefits...), and optimizing it for efficiencies.
  • Experience working in a Global Shared Services environment specifically in the development of services, such as process redesign, case management-related systems, and employee-centric design.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and discretion through an ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication, change management, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in client management and working with cross-functional teams and collaborators.
  • Strong proficiency using G-Suite (including Google Slides, Google Sheets, advanced excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience with Workday and ticketing systems.


Bonus points if you have



  • SHRM, PHR, or other HR certifications.
  • Experience with Asana and Zendesk.

The pay range below represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
