Be part of the Saint Therese difference! We are seeking a Director of Volunteer Services to serve seniors with compassionate, quality care at one of Minnesota's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers.

The Director of Volunteer Services is responsible for developing and implementing organization-wide strategies encompassing the volunteer services program, including comprehensive program recruitment practices, policy and regulation implementation, screening, orientation, training, retention and data collection, reporting and evaluation. The Director of Volunteer Services also manages the Youth Volunteer Scholarship program. This position engages staff and volunteers in setting and pursuing best practices, driving continuous improvement, and developing and implementing innovative strategies that ensures a strong culture of volunteerism throughout Saint Therese. This position reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy. This is a full-time position, and will work a hybrid model.

Location Information

We have four senior communities in Minnesota including Brooklyn Park, Corcoran, Shoreview, and Woodbury; a campus in Monroe, Michigan, and upcoming is our partnership with St. Mary of the Woods in Avon, Ohio. All communities are rich with thoughtful amenities and support. Our compassionate services also reach seniors living in the broader Twin Cities area through home care, outpatient therapies and wellness programs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 5+ years of experience leading a volunteer program and building and nurturing community relationships is required.

  • Commitment to the mission, vision and core values of Saint Therese
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate functions of the Saint Therese volunteer services program
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations relating to volunteer programs in health care settings
  • Ability to lead outreach programs and volunteer recruitment, onboarding and training.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, think critically, and problem solve
  • Ability to seek out new directions and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices
  • Knowledge of Volgistics or other volunteer data management system
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and interviewing skills, excellent written and oral communications, and effective public speaking skills.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Certified in Volunteer Administration preferred

Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000, based on experience
