Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic procedures related to the nervous system, such as EEGs, EMGs, and other neurodiagnostic tests, ensuring accuracy and quality of results for patient care.

  • Perform electroencephalograms (EEGs), electromyograms (EMGs), and other neurodiagnostic tests in compliance with established protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Analyze test results and provide initial interpretations to assist the healthcare team in diagnosing neurological conditions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
  • Stay current with the latest neurodiagnostic technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience Minimum Required
    • The ability to conduct routine and sleep deprived EEGs, as well as long-term monitoring, both at the bedside and in the lab, for patients of all ages
  • Experience Preferred/Desired
    • 2 yrs of intraoperative EEG and Evoked Potential monitoring where data is analyzed by the technologist results given to the physician so any corrective actions may be taken.
    • 3yrs exp in Neurodiagnostic with additional exp in neonatal and pediatric EEG and EP testingAmbulatory
    • EEG experience EMU experience
  • Education Minimum Required
    • A completion of accredited course in EEG technology w/in 18 months of hire.
  • Education Preferred/Desired
    • A Course in intraoperative EEG and Evoked Potential monitoring.

Special Skills Minimum Required

  • Licensure and/or Certifications Required
    • CPR, REEGT w/in 18mos of hire
  • Licensure and/or CertificationsPreferred/Desired
    • CPR within 3 MOS, REEGT, RPSGT
