We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The home location will be 600 Primrose Street in Haverhill, MA. We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned departments; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments or other sites in the Merrimack Valley/Tuscan area during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).
The Medical Assistant will support the following specialties: Internal Medicine: physical examinations, routine health screenings, and preventative care for adults Bridge Clinic: rapid access to treatment for addiction and substance use disorders Infection Disease: identification and treatment of infections that arise from exposure to infectious diseases We believe in meeting our patients where they are and providing multiple pathways. Dedicated to clinical support as true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include: Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed) Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to coordination of care (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, etc.) Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs Required:
