We are seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant to support the Ortho Walk-In Clinic located at 500 Merrimac Street in Lawrence. The requirement is to work at least one weekday and one weekend a month. The hours for the weekday shift are 8:30am-5:00pm and the hours for the weekend shifts are Saturday from 8:30am-5:00pm, Sunday from 8:30am-3:00pm.
As true partners to our Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. Responsibilities include: Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed) Managing and assisting with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders and fitting, ensuring proper documentation and patient education. Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care) Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
