Position Summary

The Emergency Room Technician Float Pool is an ideal opportunity for those seeking to perform essential technician duties for high-need emergency department patients. If you are seeking a dynamic and gratifying career supporting emergency services, the ER Tech role might be a perfect fit for you. As float pool technician, you will additionally travel between locations offering you a regular variety of locations and staff to work with. You will perform routine duties within the limits of documented training for emergency department patients.

Responsibilities


  • You will engage your critical thinking skills in maintaining a safe, therapeutic and aesthetic environment
  • You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
  • Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds


Requirements


  • Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant license (CNA) or Nursing Assistant Registered license (NA-R)
  • Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification (MA-P) or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible (Must complete education within 60 days and apply within 7 days of education completion)
  • Current Health Care Provider level BLS certification
  • Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, EMT, or phlebotomist in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting with the last three (3) years
  • Current Washington state driver's license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $23.12 - $38.20 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
