Title Patient Care Coordinator/MRI Tech Assistant (Float) Category Medical Administrative Support Location All MCN locations Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift Days Work schedule Monday - Friday, Days Req Number MED-24-00026 Open Date 1/1/2025 Description The Patient Care Coordinator for the Neurodiagnostics Laboratory Services department performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the MRI department to ensure operational objectives are met. Answers phone calls, schedules patient appointments, and coordinates information on behalf of MCN's providers. Works in conjunction with MCN's registration staff to ensure that all patient visits are preauthorized and registered. This position will also assist our MRI technicians with greeting patients, changing patients to MRI attire, assisting tech in MRI room and assisting patient when MRI is completed. This position is full-time. Work locations are on a two-week rotation between Coon Rapids (CR), Maple Grove (MG), and Burnsville (BV). Week 1 Mon - CR, Tues - CR, Wed - MG, Thurs - MG, Fri - MG Week 2 Mon - MG, Tues - BV, Wed - BV, Thurs - BV, Fri - CR This position is benefit eligible and includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO. Position Requirements We seek a high school graduate (or GED equivalent) who has at least two years of related medical administrative support experience in a medical office setting. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and experience working with an electronic health record, Epic preferred. Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong Excel skills required. Must be patient centered and have a strong customer service orientation. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task required.
