Description

Performs a variety of support duties for the Department of Information Technology (IT). Controls inventory for IT operations by preparing, processing, maintaining, and distributing stocked items, as well as maintaining a back-order database; handles oral, written, and electronic requests; performs routine manual work associated with receiving, warehousing, issuing, and/or delivering supplies, moving and transporting equipment.

Qualifications

Required

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.
• Some experience in warehousing and inventory management software.
  • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
• Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
• Skill in oral and written communications.
• Ability to use a computer, peripherals, software applications, and other office equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative.

• Understanding of electronic parts used in various life safety systems as well as computer platforms.
