Work Location: Indiana, Pa 15701 Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (Additional hours as needed to fulfill the needs of the department) Function: S&T Bank's Credit and Commercial Development Program is a two-year program designed to develop skills necessary for a career within Credit Analysis, Commercial Lending, or another related department in the Bank. Upon successful completion, the selected incumbent would be placed in a department in a credit administration related role, at the needs of the Bank. Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include a concentration within the Credit Analysis department with rotations in related departments including, but not limited to, Commercial Lending, Secured Credit, Loan Documentation, Construction Credit Analysis & Monitoring, Private Banking, Portfolio Management, Business Banking, and Special Assets. Credit Analysis and Commercial Lending opportunities will include Commercial Real Estate, C&I, Asset Based Lending, Secured Credit, Floorplans, and other loan types. Performance measurement and progression through the program to be based on proficient demonstration of core analysis skills. Under the direct supervision of a Manager and/or Mentor, the Trainee will assist in providing an independent analysis of credit quality and review a borrower's financial condition and ability to repay. The Trainee will support Credit and Lending staff through completion of particular analysis requested for borrowers of various industries and levels of complexity; review credit facility requests to determine compliance with basic structural, corporate policy and procedure, and governmental regulation requirements; assist in the preparation of accurate credit approval documents in accordance with department procedures; assist in identifying material strengths and weaknesses of a transaction; assist in the preparation of cash flow calculations, risk ratings, and other tasks as assigned; and conduct annual credit reviews when applicable.
Physical Demands: Operates a keypad device 70% of the day. Operates office equipment 10% of the day. Routinely lifts 5 lb., 5 times per day, maximum lift is 40 lbs., one time a day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 90% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20", distance vision and depth perception for computer work. Education: Requires a four-year degree or better in Accounting/Finance/Economics (or related business field) at the time of the start of the program. Experience: Requires up to one year of general business experience.
