Network Change Control Analyst

The Network Change Control Analyst is responsible for the scheduling and reporting of any service impacting network event, to include reporting of events to affected customers, as well as, reporting to internal departments of 3rd party events that are service impacting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Scheduling and coordination of all service impacting maintenance on the network.
  • Development of impact lists/tables across departments.
  • Works closely with OSP, ISP, OPS, Engineering, and Carrier Relations in the development of circuit impact as it relates to maintenance.
  • Reporting of maintenance notifications to both internal and external customers.
  • Works with numerous outside vendors in the efforts to coordinate service impacting maintenance events.

Education and/or Experience:



  • Must be able to identify circuits based upon location within the network.
  • Basic understanding of how the circuits we provide to customers work. i.e. Protected vs. Non-protected services.
  • Must be able to navigate Salesforce efficiently.
  • Ability to work within the framework other groups/departments in order to identify the impact of their work based upon few parameters.

  • Sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds several times a day.
  • Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.
  • Bending, stooping, climbing ladders and crawling.
  • Keyboarding/typing.
  • Long hours involving overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device and/or a paper copy.


Working Conditions:



  • Ability to work multiple tasks in a stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
