Job Summary:

The Engineering Co-Op role will be part of a high performing team participating and contributing to product design, development, testing by applying design engineering principles and practices. The Co-Op will manage assigned portions of product development projects.

Job Responsibilities



  • Participate and or lead creating innovation concepts as assigned, develop prototypes, lead competitive evaluation.
  • Create and/or revise simple 3D CAD models/assemblies and 2D drawings in Creo.
  • Utilize CAD or design tools as applicable to update designs as directed by a Sr. engineer, including new, revise, and modify products.
  • Participate and contribute to design, development, implementation, and analysis of electromechanical components, systems, and/or products by following prescribed procedures
  • Perform simple and routine engineering design tasks and calculations using standard techniques.
  • Assist in conducting standard testing and/or the analysis of standard test results.
  • Prepare written summaries related to meeting notes, assigned/completed tasks, and Engineering tests.
  • Participate and or lead creating innovation concepts as assigned, develop prototypes, lead competitive evaluation.



Job Requirements



  • Enrolled in a relevant Engineering degree program.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical devices, electromechanical components, electrical connections, and home appliances
  • Sound knowledge to identify problems in design/application by using engineering principles
  • Effectively communicate through verbal, written, and electronic means. Provide regular status updates as requested. Speak and write English effectively to articulate information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office- Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience to use mechanical basic tools and instruments.
  • Author and manage Engineering Change Notifications (ECN's) through a workflow process.



Preferred Skills



  • Experience/Interest in designs related to air/liquid/particulate flow-movement.
  • CAD software (Creo) knowledge.
