Your responsibilities
Job Summary We are seeking a Production Manager with at least 5+ years of strong/effective manufacturing management experience to lead our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in change management, team leadership, patience and customer service, serving as a vital link between the Plant Manager, Regional Operations, Executives, and the warehouse floor.

Location: South Bend, IN
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 (No relocation assistance available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve production objectives and meet deadlines to ensure exceptional customer delivery performance.
  • Coordinate daily production activities and post daily updates on production backlogs.
  • Prioritize work tasks for staff and ensure clear communication of production goals.
  • Optimize equipment scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Serve as a direct liaison between the warehouse team and Plant Manager, fostering collaboration.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the inside sales team on process improvements.
  • Support IT needs for production equipment and ensure smooth system functionality.
  • Collaborate with HR to facilitate training programs and address workforce needs.
  • Maintain timely, effective communication with employees at all levels regarding production issues.
  • Champion a safety-first mindset, promoting a culture of accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated success in building trust, fostering continuous improvement, and driving cultural change.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn additional systems.
  • Advanced math skills and a deep understanding of work order and material flow processes.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
