Job Summary

Cognizant Digital Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Design (UX UI Prod/Srvc) and React JS specifically within the Finance & Accounting domain. The role is hybrid with day shifts and no travel required. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and enhancement of our financial software solutions ensuring a seamless user experience and robust functionality.

Location: Irving, TX (must work at office for at least 4 days a week)

Responsibilities:

* Lead the design and development of user interfaces using React JS to ensure a seamless user experience.

* Oversee the implementation of UX/UI principles to create intuitive and visually appealing designs.

* Provide technical expertise in the Finance & Accounting domain to develop software solutions that meet industry standards.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.

* Ensure code quality and maintainability by conducting regular code reviews and adhering to best practices.

* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design and development processes.

* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure the smooth operation of software applications.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software solutions.

* Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

* Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

* Contribute to the overall architecture and design of software systems to ensure scalability and performance.

* Work closely with product managers to prioritize and deliver features that align with business goals.

* Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards in all software development activities.

Qualifications

* Strong expertise in React JS and UX/UI design principles.

* Have extensive experience in the Finance & Accounting domain.

* Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities.

* Show proficiency in agile development methodologies.

* Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

* Display a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
