Primary Responsibilities:

The Chief Innovation Officer will engage in the following primary responsibilities:



  1. Drive Impact 360 Goal 7 strategies and lead the LUInnovate Office
  2. Expand Lipscomb offerings and and partnerships to create a competitive advantage
  3. Lead the development of a comprehensive non-degree and executive education model and platform
  4. Spearhead innovative projects focusing on learning platforms and content development
  5. Build incentives and processes for widespread university uptake and engagement
  6. Collaborate with content creators and colleges/departments to develop strong content
  7. Establish strategic and innovative partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
  8. Identify business development opportunities that advance programmatic goals and outcomes with a focus on revenue generation
  9. Develop and document policies, processes, procedures, communication pathways, and decision support for the LUInnovate Office
  10. Design and facilitate workshops and training focused on innovation-related concepts
  11. Create marketing materials aligned with innovation-related opportunities
  12. Seek and secure funding opportunities in conjunction with the Director of the Office of Research and Grants and the Development Office



    Qualifications:



    1. Master's degree or higher
    2. Extensive experience in education and/or innovation space
    3. Strong leadership, facilitation and strategic planning skills
    4. Demonstrated leadership in steering strategic discussions and influencing key decisions
    5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    6. Exceptional presentation skills
    7. Knowledge of relevant competitors and ability to position Lipscomb within this environment
    8. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders
    9. A strong passion for leveraging technology to enhance learning and workplace outcomes
