Requisition Id14327 Overview: The National Center for Computational Sciences Division (NCCS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking a highly motivated Group Leader for the Technology Integration Group (TechInt). The Group Leader for TechInt is responsible for managing planning and executing a cutting-edge research and development (R&D) portfolio in delivering innovative new technologies in technical computing and data sciences for NCCS projects including the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) and other projects at ORNL. The TechInt group focuses on identifying gaps in large-scale scientific high-performance computing, networking, and storage and driving scientific end-to-end computing technologies and testbeds. TechInt works with the R&D community to identify, harden, and deploy solutions. The position reports to the Section Head of the Advanced Technologies Section (ATS) in NCCS. ATS is an applied research and development organization dedicated to improving facility operations. The section offers scientific, technical, operational, and strategic leadership by researching, developing, and deploying forward-looking solutions to support the largest scientific High Performance Computing systems in the world such as Frontier, the world's first Exascale Supercomputer.
