About the role

The Industrial/Heavy Equipment Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled worker in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company equipment such as conveyers, shredders and plant maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect and repair all parts of equipment, mechanical, and electrical systems on equipment such as shredders, conveyers, some heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on building plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and pump rebuilding and repair on facility as needed.
• Welding and fabricating to repair and build and secondary equipment.
• Complete equipment maintenance records.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum of 5 years of experience in plant industrial maintenance.
• Valid Drivers License

• Must be able to read precision instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, digital multi-meters, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
• Previous experience with maintenance on industrial equipment and industrial maintenance

Physical Demands:

• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequently required to stand, sit, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach
• Climbing ladders and structures; must be able to tolerate heights.

Schedule

Typically, Monday through Friday day shift.
