JOB SUMMARY: With general supervision, inspects all incoming Maharam & Knoll Textile products, including upholstery, wallcovering, window covering, leather, and rugs and other products on QA Inspection Hold. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Inspects all upholstery fabrics or wall covering on QA Inspection Hold Inspects select international / consignment orders prior to shipping Inspects all sample replacement orders Inspects all Quality returns (RA's) from the field Enters detailed inspection report information on all orders inspected Physically lifts and/or moves all bolts required to perform inspection Maintains, cleans, and washes down test wall Maintains and keep test hang area clean KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of defect nomenclature Know how to run inspection frame Know how to operate high/low Work independently Good sense of color and must be able to differentiate between shades of the same color Must be able to recognize variation in color / shade, and will be tested on their ability to discern color / shade variation within the same pattern Physically lifts and/or moves all bolts required to perform inspection. (This requires the inspector to lift 50 - 75 lbs. bolts repeatedly throughout the day). The candidate will be trained in current ERP system and will need to perform their QA Inspections within this system EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent A starting compensation range for this role is $21.00 per hour.
