Position Summary: The General Manager partners with the Director of Retail and Assistant Store Manager to lead a profitable and customer-centric environment through the successful development of their team. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of a single store including; hiring and developing talent, maintaining consistent store controls and applying merchant skills to curate a compelling customer experience. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned) * Supervises merchandising initiatives and maintains sales floor presentation * Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives. * Oversees and supports sales team and drives revenue in order to meet sales goals * Responsible for maintaining profitability of the retail store * Recognizing the necessity of adhering to all deadlines * Routinely manage correspondence with customers via email and conveying information with sales team as needed * Presence on sales floor to support selling culture while balancing operational tasks Skill Set Requirements: * Capable of working in a fast-paced environment * Can prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously * Ability to train a multitude of people if necessary * Organization skills including time management * Eager for growth opportunities * High energy, passionate, resourceful, dependable and driven * Fluency with information technology * Adaptable and receptive to change * Excellent work-ethic and initiative * Possesses strong assessment and decision-making skills Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises the Assistant Manager, Sales Associates, Key Holders and Operations Lead. Responsibilities include interviewing and making hiring recommendations; instructing and training on proper work methods, approving weekly payroll and assigning, planning and scheduling work. Qualifications
Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or GED required. * 5+ years of experience as a Manager in a fast-paced environment Special Requirements: must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Equipment Used: Computer, printer, scanner, telephone, photocopier and POS system Computer Software: Outlook, Word and Excel Physical and Mental Requirements: * Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists. * Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects. * Plan or direct fairly complex work methods or operations that obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product.
