As a wholly owned subsidiary of Boston Omaha Corporation (NYSE: BOC), Link currently owns and operates billboards in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. The General Manager position is an ideal opportunity for high energy, success-oriented talent to join our team.
BILLBOARD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
This position will start in Bartlesville, OK with the possibility that it will relocate to Oklahoma City.
Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provides leadership, at all levels, to achieve revenue budgets, expense management and EBITDA growth.
  • Creates a business plan to direct and measure the progress of the plant, department by department.


  • Protects the assets of the company.
  • Looks for consistent advancement in processes and accomplishments, acting as an agent of change in the workplace.


  • Manages sales, operations, accounting, design, personnel and/or the managers for each department.
  • Provides direction and feedback to department supervisors and other team members to ensure positive morale and a productive environment.
  • Schedules regular team meetings to discuss departments' progress, issues, and success, in a supportive and collaborative style.
  • Sets individual sales budgets, Key Performance Indicators, account list management and plant benchmarks for the successful execution of the sales plan.
  • Maintains a personal sales account list.
  • Identifies business opportunities, plantwise, with new and existing customers.
  • Reviews and approves contracts, commissions, distributes leads, assigns and adjusts AE account lists, establishes and modifies rates, and creates promotional plans/incentives.
  • Addresses customer inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction. (Ideally call-ins receive responses from General Managers, Sales Managers or Account Executives on the same day, but never over 24 hours.)
  • Builds the company brand by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees.
  • Oversees recruitment, hiring, training, and support of new employees.


  • Understands our ideal preferred customers, and how they relate to our products, and how to target and develop that customer base.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; and enforcing ethical business practices.
  • Promotes the organization and products.
  • Distributes incoming leads.
  • Maintains artwork quality control.
  • Reviews contracts and commissions for accuracy and is responsible for rate approvals.
  • Other duties as assigned



Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Familiar with CRM systems and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Experience successfully managing a market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Ability to lead a sales team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
