Tremco is currently looking for a Water Treatment Specialist in our Beachwood R&D facility.

This individual will have a degree in Biology or Environmental Science with limited experience and an interest in Water Treatment purification. This will be a unique opportunity to be mentored by an expert in this field. Long-term growth potential.

The individual will set up and run all test methods related to the testing of water found in water treatment towers including but not limited to (dissolved oxygen, calcium, and dissolved solids). They can propose and create new test methods, when necessary, in support of the control of scale and corrosion when given general guidance from senior leadership and business trends. The individual will demonstrate competency and growth regarding adaptability, initiative, resourcefulness, communication, collaboration and accountability, and develop and mentor subordinates as their platform develops, improves or maintains Tremco's products and systems to grow sales and market share.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads and supervises water testing initiatives in support of intradepartmental and/or cross functional business initiatives.
• Able to travel to customer sites (50%) and instruct Tremco representatives on how to properly collect water samples.
• Understanding of microbial testing requirements for testing water quality of cooling towers a strong plus
• Leads project activities through a defined testing process.
• Presents project updates or information to influence tactical/strategic discussions amongst management effectively.
• Facilitates ideation and solutions and proves or disproves concepts.
• Assures and validates proper documentation of responsible technical and/or experimental activities.
• Independently creates project plans and oversees the coordination and administration of tasks to achieve a goal to agree upon milestones.
• Collaboratively engages stakeholders to guide development or overcome challenges.
• Supports departmental initiatives to continuously improve safety, procedures/workflows, and knowledge retention throughout department.
• Develops and internalizes transformational technology into commerce.

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $65,000 and $80,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
