Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics Qualifications Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: 1 years of experience working as Medical Assistant Job : Clinical Support Primary Location : Central San Diego County-SAN DIEGO-SHMS - MERCY Work Locations : SHMS - MERCY 4077 FIFTH AVENUE SAN DIEGO 92103 Organization : Scripps Health Corp Job Posting : Jan 3, 2025, 9:12:20 PM Benefit Status : FT - FULL-TIME WITH BENEFITS Minimum Rate (USD) : 24.91 - Maximum Rate (USD) : 31.45 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
