Description:

The Controller's primary responsibility is to oversee the finance, accounting, reporting, forecasting, and risk management functions. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated, detail-oriented accounting professional with manufacturing experience and excellent interpersonal skills who wants to take their career to the next. The role reports to the company CEO. Position is best suited for individuals who've completed their CPA experience followed by experience as a Manufacturing Controller and desires Operations Management and opportunity to develop into a General Manager/right hand to the CEO.
Performance based incentive offered.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee finance, accounting, treasury and risk management operations of the company
* Enforce and update proper accounting methods, policies, controls and procedures
* Ensure timely and accurate month-end financial reporting
* Assist with extracting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting financial data for financial and operational performance, including performance against budgets and key business metrics
* Work diligently to mentor, train and develop the Company's staff
* Prepare and review month-end account reconciliations, budgets/projections and forecasts
* Oversee group insurance coverage and prepare information for insurance renewals
* Lead monthly operations meetings, as well as planning and production meetings when called upon
* Prepare and complete adhoc projects for the Executive Team as needed
* Manage business filings: corporate tax payments, license renewals, state registrations, property and sales tax returns
* Actively support excellence deployment and company initiatives by attending training where applicable
* Making suggestions and proactively supporting, implementing and driving sustainable improvements
* Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices
* Administer work rules, disciplinary action, appraise employee performance, recommend and or approve changes of status and salary adjustments

Qualifications:

* Previous experience in Government contracting/accounting strongly preferred, specifically with the Department of Defense
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
* Highly motivated and results-oriented
* 7+ years' experience in accounting; 3+ years in a management capacity with supervisory responsibilities required
* CPA Preferred
* Prior Manufacturing Controller experience required
* Skillful in working within job cost accounting environment required
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills
* Extensive experience in a multi-entity environment, reconciling intercompany transactions and consolidated financial reporting experience
* Strong Microsoft Excel computer skills
* Must possess a proficient understanding of current US GAAP requirements
* Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally
