Job Overview:The Superintendent is responsible for managing the daily operations of construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with all relevant regulations and standards. The Superintendent will focus on the correct installation and maintenance of asphalt and concrete materials.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervision:Oversee field crew members, including foremen, carpenters, and laborers.
  • Project Planning:Develop site logistics plans and coordinate construction methods and sequencing.
  • Relationship Management:Maintain good working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Safety:Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Problem-Solving:Resolve construction issues and improve methods.
  • Scheduling:Drive project schedules and verify material shipments.
  • Maintenance:Perform maintenance tasks and complete repairs on paving projects.
  • Documentation:Keep detailed daily records of work performed.


Qualifications:



  • Experience:5+ years in paving/concrete.
  • Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds. Good vision and hearing are essential.
