Mobile Developer [REMOTE: Eastern or Central Time Zone]

Iteris is seeking a remote Mobile Developer position is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining our native mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will work with a team of talented developers and engineers who are devoted to putting out a great product. Must be able to work independently, while also a member of an agile development team. While this position can be 100% remote, the candidate must live within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain native iOS and Android applications
• Lead software development projects
• Create estimates for software development projects
• Help with the Software Development Lifecycle, mentoring, providing assistance and guidance
• Help respond to proposal requests (RFPs, RFIs, etc.)
• Collaborate with management, team and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
• Designing algorithms and work flows to create new software programs and systems
• Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
• Testing and deploying programs and applications
• Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
• Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
• Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
• Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
• Monitor customer systems and quickly resolve issues as they occur

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) or equivalent professional experience
• Over two (2) years of experience with native mobile development with iOS using Xcode and/or Android using
  
  
  
  • Android Studio, both preferred iOS languages - Swif
  • Android languages - Kotlin and Java
  
  
  
  

• In-depth knowledge of object-oriented methodologies
• Familiar with MVC/MVP patterns
• Experience with RESTful services / JSON
• Ability to walk-through their written code and demonstrate app to one or more team members
• Experience implementing map-based apps using Google Maps, MapBox or HERE
• Git experience
• Scrum or Agile experience
• JIRA and Confluence experience
• Amazon Web Services experience
• Experience in either Linux or Unix environments
• Experience with responsive web design and programming, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Node and/or Python experience
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
• Design and implementation of APIs and/or Endpoints

Iteris anticipates paying between $89,000 and $99,100 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
