Summary

Responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests visiting the facility by following all City of Garland and Jeff Ellis and Associates protocols. The manager will oversee the aquatic operations to include: lifeguards, safety, cleanliness of facility and inventory management.

Salary

$16.50

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Take a proactive role in ensuring guest safety.

  • Supervise employees to carry out job functions.

  • Conduct effective shift briefings and trainings.

  • Train and develop team to deliver life saving measures as needed.

  • Oversee the implementation of standards as outlined in the standard operating procedures.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work area and facility.

  • Assist and participate in regularly scheduled trainings.

  • Oversee and assist maintaining a clean facility.

  • Administer life saving measures as needed.

  • Oversee and assist with programs, guest services and rentals as needed.

  • Oversee cash handling procedures at assigned location.

  • Maintain an inviting work environment by inspiring others with enthusiasm and positivity.

  • Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 17 years old on opening day of the aquatic facilities.

  • One year lifeguard experience.

  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from the workplace.

  • Ability to learn lifesaving water skills to pass the Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Class.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years lifeguard experience

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must obtain Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Certification through the City of Garland prior to opening day of aquatic facilities.

  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license preferred.
