Description MaineHealth Corporate Professional - Nonclinical Req #: 16807 Summary: The HIM Applications Coordinator role coordinates system technologist that support patient identity verification to effectively manage the enterprise Master Patient Index (eMPI). Serves as the primary area resource for the Master Patient Index application and it's interfacing with external customer groups to confirm patient data across multiple facilities. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Business or related discipline preferred. License/Certifications: RHIT or RHIA preferred. Experience: Three years of experience in Health Information Management or computer science, business administration, biology or other business or science field required. Three years of previous EPIC or EMR applications experience preferred. Medical terminology course required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficiency with EPIC and Microsoft Suite products.
