Project Engineer Intern - ACE Mentorship Program

Job Description:

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity this summer to join our team as a High School Project Engineer Intern! This role is designed for high schoolers to gain exposure specific to a Project Management position. Additionally, this role will gain insight into additional opportunities available in the construction industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.

• Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.

• Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.

• Jobsite experience will be limited to interns that are over the age of 18.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Interest in a career in the construction industry.

• Able to work at least 20 hours per week in-person.

• Able to commute to our Minneapolis office.

• Working toward a high school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Show a high level of professionalism and the ability to juggle multiple tasks

• Self-motivated

• Eager to work with a project team and learn about the construction industry

Eligibility:

• Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

The hourly rate is $15-$18/hr. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
