About the role:

We are looking for a life-long learner to work with a diverse product team to help create the future by producing innovative software applications and standard reference databases for spectroscopy. These products are used in academic, corporate, and government settings. The Assistant Data Editor will work with subject matter experts, technical staff, sales, support, and marketing staff to develop and manage scientific workflow databases for use in research laboratory and applied field environments. You will work independently and as a member of a small, agile, geographically diverse team. You will work on multiple projects to help develop products for use in advanced technology environments.

How you will make an impact:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate and normalize data to be staged for further evaluation by the editorial team and subject matter experts.
  • Participate with editors and subject matter experts to progress and optimize data evaluation and work with team on potential new tools.
  • Evaluate and analyze experimental data

What we look for:

  • BSc, PhD or equivalent in molecular sciences (life science, chemistry), analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, physics, or related fields. Minor in mathematics or statistics is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in analytical chemistry is required.
  • Skills or experience with Python (e.g., Pandas)
  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or other Agile tools/methodologies is a plus
