Peterborough Summer Internship Location: Peterborough, Canada. Must be a Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident. The Program: On this program, we are offering summer positions during the typical school year. The student program is designed to combine your academic studies alongside practical work experience in Core engineering and Quality Assurance. Our goal is to offer breadth of exposure to the many facets of our engineering functions and Quality assurance and Management Systems to help you navigate exciting and purposeful career development opportunities. During your time in Peterborough, you will experience a variety of departments that will provide:
Engineering has many applications, and we will work with you to provide additional exposure to other functions in our building as applicable. What You Will Do: As a student, you will be assigned a dedicated Program Lead and be introduced into their team, so you'll be learning directly from a skilled professional. The type of projects will vary based on business need, but all the projects you do will be in support of a real business goal with a direct link to our products and customers. It makes for a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas and really make a difference. Not only will you receive on-the-job training, but you will also develop a host of transferable skills. Your day-to-day tasks will differ, and you'll receive support from different people within the business, all of whom will be committed to helping you to deliver your best. Activities may include assignments in design, analysis, systems, controls, manufacturing, service and/or test functions. They can also include assignments in drawing reviews, data analysis, quality systems, manufacturing plans, or measurement and testing. Although we strive to provide you with work relevant to your STEM development there may be some administration tasks along this journey.
