Job Summary The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing cloud infrastructure and services ensuring optimal performance security and scalability. This role requires extensive experience with AWS services and frameworks and the ability to lead a team in onsite at our client location. The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in driving the company's cloud strategy and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Core Job Duties:
- Infrastructure provisioning IAAC using - Terraform, Jenkins, shell / bash scripting & good knowledge with YAML by leveraging the AWS Public Cloud IAAS services.
- Good understanding with the AWS Cloud Architecture and other infra services in AWS.
- Good familiarity with Terraform code & development, Creation of Jenkins pipelines and managing the pipelines, building, debugging the core pipeline issues.
- Good hands-on experience with Source code such as GITHUB / GITLAB or Bitbucket.
- Should be able to handle the code efficiently and address the merge conflicts when working with peers.
- Preferable to have the Groovy (DSL) knowledge as the CI/CD environment stack is based on Groovy framework.
- Tools : AWS public cloud, Terraform, Jenkins, Shell / bash scripting, understanding with YAML files, GITHUB.

- Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
- Oversee the deployment and management of AWS Cloud Formation templates.
- Ensure compliance with AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices.
- Manage AWS Virtual Private Network configurations to ensure secure connectivity.
- Implement and maintain AWS Backup solutions for data protection.
- Configure and manage Amazon EBS for optimal storage performance.
- Utilize AWS Secret Manager for secure management of sensitive information.
- Implement AWS Key Management Service for encryption and security.
- Manage AWS EC2 instances for scalable computing resources.
- Design and maintain AWS VPC for network isolation and security.
- Oversee the deployment and management of AWS RDS for database solutions.
- Implement AWS CloudFront for content delivery optimization.
- Manage AWS Route53 for DNS and routing configurations.
- Utilize Amazon S3 for scalable storage solutions.
- Implement AWS Elastic Load Balancing for high availability and fault tolerance.
- Manage AWS IAM for secure access control and user management.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the cloud team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest AWS services and technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in cloud solutions.
- Contribute to the company's overall cloud strategy and vision.
- Ensure the hybrid work model is effectively implemented and managed.
- Support day shift operations and ensure smooth functioning of cloud services.
- Ensure that travel requirements are minimal and managed effectively.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud Formation AWS Well-Architected Framework and other AWS services.
- Strong knowledge of AWS Virtual Private Network AWS Cloud and AWS Backup.
- Proficiency in managing Amazon EBS AWS Secret Manager and AWS Key Management Service.
- Experience with AWS EC2 AWS VPC and AWS RDS.
- Knowledge of AWS CloudFront AWS Route53 and Amazon S3.
- Expertise in AWS Elastic Load Balancing and AWS IAM.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a hybrid work model.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between [$70,000] - [$117,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
