Your opportunity

We're looking for a Sales Application Specialist - MWS to join our Specialty Applications Team in Peachtree City, GA. This position supports the quotations, field services, and sales team and is responsible for the planning, creation, and delivery of modular wiring system (MWS) layouts, bill of materials, and other supporting documentation regarding modular wiring systems. This position is responsible for applying the appropriate technical knowledge, skillset, tools, and techniques required to communicate and document the correct type, quantity, and installation location of modular wiring components. The incumbent acts as the knowledge expert in commercial and industrial applications as they relate to applying complete modular solutions. This position requires highly technical individuals capable of understanding system wiring and electrical specifications to develop a customized solution to meet the scope of the project. This role will also support specialty application solutions as required for the business.

What you'll do

• Review electrical job specifications to provide a customized modular wiring solution based on reflected ceiling plans, fixture schedules, panel schedules, and power plans.
• Generate project specific device placement drawings based on project control/design intent.
• Conduct voltage calculations to confirm necessary wire size and routing for modular system layout.
• Develop a communication line with quotations, field services, product managers, technical support, agents, engineers, and inside sales teams.
• Understand user intent for modular wiring systems and communicate necessary improvements based on your research of NEC standards
• Maintain project deadlines and follow up on outstanding projects with the internal teams
• Versatility and agility to support Specialty Application needs

What you'll need

• Associate's degree from an accredited institution or 5+ years of electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical components/installations
• Experience reading electrical design drawings
• Proficient with AutoCAD (or other similar design software)
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers via the phone, e-mail and other written and verbal communication mediums
