Job Description

The Syndication Consultant will play a critical role in the syndicated loan process across a variety of industries including Energy, Healthcare, Commercial Real Estate, Middle Market Corporate and other commercial financing business lines.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will draft syndication approval memos, offering memoranda, proposals, and financial presentations detailing client and transaction-related information.
  • You will collaborate with senior Loan Syndications team members to review new opportunities and devise key syndication terms.
  • You will oversee analytical work to support deal marketing and origination efforts.
  • You will prepare and distribute loan marketing packages to investors and serve as the main contact during and after syndication.
  • You will source and use market information from third-party providers and maintain databases of comparable transactions.
  • You will plan, manage, and track details for bank meetings and events, and keep templates updated with current information.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Master's Degree and 2-3years of loan syndications experience, or 4+ years equivalent commercial lending or relationship management work experience; or 5-7 years of equivalent work related experience.

  • Broad market knowledge
  • MBA, CFA and/or Formal Credit Training
  • Familiarity with banking loan policies and procedures, credit analysis, accounting
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to summarize investment opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to view and solve problems from customer's perspective.
  • Self-starter who can handle responsibility, and take ownership of projects
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and track details.
  • Strong organization, planning, and follow-up skills.
  • Highest level of integrity, maturity, and an exceptional work ethic.
