4-H Assistant- Bryce Valley Requisition ID: 2024-7841 # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Panguitch Category: Other Position Type: Non-benefited (hourly) Part-Time Job Classification: Non-Benefited College: Extension Department: Extension Home & Community Advertised Salary: $15.00 per hour Overview The Garfield County Office of Utah State University Extension is seeking an individual to provide 4-H programming for junior high and high school aged youth in the Bryce Valley area. This is a part time, 3 to 4 month position that does not include benefits. We are looking for an individual that is a self starter who can work well with minimal supervision, and who is enthusiastic and engages well with teenagers. The job would entail recruiting and marketing to youth, planning and implementing activities weekly and reporting. We anticipate our instructor working 10-20 hours per week. Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging activities for youth following the logic model and social development strategy. Keep an attendance record of those students who attend. Attend required training and help with county wide 4-H events. Learn the essential elements of youth development and incorporate them into their 4-H programming.
