Responsibilities

* Manage and lead cloud engineering and IT related processes for planning, execution, and reporting.
* Manage and lead cloud engineering team and task delegation to them.
* Design and implement robust cloud architectures, cloud automation, security and compliance scanning, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and platform as code solutions.
* Define and enforce cloud standards, guidelines, and best practices.
* Perform cloud assessments and migrations.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations, technical tasking, and developments of the cloud ecosystem.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
* Monitor and optimize cloud performance, costs, and resource utilization.
* Implement and maintain security controls and compliance standards.
* Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
* Stay current with the latest security threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
* Stay in the know with the latest cloud-based technologies, patterns, processes, and trends.
* Manage the interactions with cloud-based technology vendors to discuss features, relevant architectural needs, etc. to meet the software factory cloud requirements.
* Oversee collaboration with DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, and Information Assurance teams to ensure software factory needs and requirements are tracked for execution.


Qualifications

* 15 years of combined experience working in cloud computing. DevSecOps, information technology, system administration, software engineering, or related field.
* 8+ years of experience working with Azure and cloud providers (AWS, GCP)
* Proficient and deep understanding in Azure and its capabilities, tools, solutions, and features.
* Experience managing complex cloud environments.
* Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security principles.
* Proficient with IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible, Packer, CloudFormation).
* Proficient in scripting (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell).
* Experience with containerization technology (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
* Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g. GitOps, CI/CD)

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Solutions Architect certificate (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Solutions Architect, etc.) or equivalent.

Desired skills:

* Hands on experience working in a classified cloud.
* Secure Azure Computing Architecture deployments.

Clearance Requirements:

* Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
