Responsibilities

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

* Design, implement, and maintain security architectures, automation, and tools to protect the system at multiple levels (e.g. cloud, infrastructure, platform, application).
* Develop, document, and enforce security standards, practices, and policies.
* Perform regular security risk assessments, security scans, penetration testing audits, and monitoring.
* Help oversee cybersecurity automation within CI/CD pipelines and ensure alignment with industry and DoD best practices and preferred technologies.
* Monitor security systems and logs for threats and anomalies.
* Respond to security incidents and provide forensics investigations.
* Help implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, security and compliance scanners and monitors, encryption technologies, and more.
* Configure, manage, and use security tools and technologies.
* Automate security processes, workflows, and scanning.
* Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attack vectors, etc.
* Analyze threat intelligence reports and adjust security measures accordingly.
* Ensure compliance with industry and DoD regulations, standards, and guides.
* Develop and maintain security documentation.


Qualifications

* 15 years of combined experience working in defensive/offensive cybersecurity, information assurance, penetration testing, software engineer, or related field.
* Strong understanding of security principles, such as confidentiality, integrity, zero-trust, availability, etc.
* Experience with cloud security (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)

* Experience with defending against known attack vectors.
* Proficient with security technologies, such as firewall, intrusion detection systems, modern encryption, fuzzing tools, vulnerability and compliance scanners, etc.
* Experience automating cybersecurity tools within CI/CD pipelines.
* In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and guides (e.g. RMF, NIST, CIS, STIGs, FIPS, etc.)
* Understanding of what EMASS is and what it is used for.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.

Clearance Requirements:

* Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
