Sr. Software Engineer - Medical Devices Category: Information Technology Employment Type: Contract To Hire Reference: BH-375320 Yoh Scientific is actively recruiting for a Sr. Software Engineer (Medical Devices) to work a contract to hire assignment in San Jose, California! We are seeking a highly skilled Automation and Verification Engineer to join a dynamic team, driving robustness of hardware, software, firmware, and algorithms into systems that shape the future of medical science. To be considered, you must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 7yrs of medical device software experience, which must include WPF framework. Title: Sr. Software Engineer (Medical Devices) Location: San Jose, California Duration: Temp to Hire. (Will work approximately for 6 months as contractor, and then hired on for perm placement.) Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm (onsite). Must be able to work onsite. Pay Rate: $74 - $80/hour Responsibilities: The Software Engineer will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and refactoring software components for our cutting-edge medical devices across desktop, web, and cloud platforms. Develop and maintain software solutions for medical devices across desktop, web, and cloud environments. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions. Refactor and optimize existing code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability. Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, from design to deployment. Monitor software for bugs and issues, promptly addressing and resolving them. Document code consistently throughout the development process. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, development methodologies, and tools to ensure our software remains cutting-edge. Provide mentoring to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Adhere to and advocate for software development best practices and standards, ensuring our products meet the highest quality. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 10yrs or Master's degree and 7yrs of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Extensive software development experience, with a strong emphasis on medical device software. Proficiency in C#, .NET, WPF required. Must have WPF framework, will not be considered without this proficiency. Python, SQL, MongoDB, Typescript, React, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs - a plus Required proficiency in unit testing frameworks like NUnit, PyUnit, etc. Experience with static code analysis tools like SonarQube a plus Experience with CI/CD a plus Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. A keen understanding of software security best practices, especially in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of FDA regulations and standards related to medical device software development will be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Opportunity is Calling,* Apply Now!
