Description Summary:This is an exciting new opportunity to work in healthcare education with an amazing team of people who are committed to supporting the academic mission at MaineHealth. The Operations Manager for the MaineHealth Department of Medical Education(DME) will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the department, which is home to over 100 staff and faculty, working to support provider-level learners in the clinical environment through robust student and resident programs, an accredited simulation center, a medical library and an extensive professional development office. This person will work closely with our teams develop and enhance processes, workflows and standards of practice. Responsibilities will include being point person for equipment, facilities and staff workstations, the onboarding / orientation process for new staff, department-wide record keeping including maintaining databases and websites, and will be key in helping to support new initiatives and the continued growth of our work across the three regions of MaineHealth. The right person for this role will come with previous operations and leadership experience and has proven success in strategic thinking and problem solving. This is an on-site position with the occasional ability to work remotely. This part-time position requires 20 hours per week and ideally will have set working days each week.
