Job Summary:

The Sr. Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design and management of the cloud-based systems on behalf of WellSense. The Engineer will organize and collaborate with teams to identify optimal solutions, modify systems, and ensure they meet needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data solutions. The role will be responsible for optimizing data storage and ensuring data security and compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and be proficient in programming languages like Python. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.

Qualifications:

Education Required:



  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.



Experience Required:



  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.



Required Licensure, Certification or Conditions of Employment:



  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check
  • Certification in cloud computing or data engineering (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty).



Competencies, Skills, and Attributes:



  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Understanding of data modelling and database design principles.
  • Ability to create end-to-end processes that describe the steps, dependencies, systems of records, and roles of each party in the process.
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Detail oriented, excellent proof reading and editing skills



Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
