The Data Analyst for Student Success will support centralized reporting initiatives for Arizona Online student populations. This position focuses on collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to drive strategic decisions and enhance student retention and success.

This position has the option to work from main campus or fully remote within the state of Arizona.

Collaboration with team members and campus stakeholders will be essential to align departmental initiatives with data insights.

The role requires knowledge and understanding of data analysis theories and statistical methods in measuring student outcomes, and a strong commitment to leveraging data to support online and post-traditional students' unique needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Lead cyclical, point-in-time, and ad-hoc reporting efforts by building and adapting intermediate-level dashboards or creating individual custom reports that provide insights into the online student population. This can include conducting statistical, trend, comparative, impact, or forecasting analyses to anticipate risks and changes that inform decision-making.

*Deliver final outputs through clear summaries and visualizations highlighting key insights and outcomes. Incorporate effective organization, data repositing, and comprehensive reporting to enhance findings' clarity, interpretation, and impact.

*Integrate qualitative and quantitative analysis of additional departmental data collecting efforts, such as surveys, supplemental reports, focus groups, and other additional data sources that inform our student insights.

*Serve as a partner and collaborative contributor to UAIR, Assessment and Research, and other departments and working groups for mutual support on assessment, reporting, and other student-centered data initiatives.

*Research and communicate peer institution outcomes when appropriate for comparison and alignment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

*Ability to manage large datasets and analyze data using aggregate and statistical methods.

* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

* Ability to work independently and with colleagues to manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines

* Use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and approaches to problems
* Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to manage large datasets and analyze data in a higher education environment

Minimum Qualifications *Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in understanding and analyzing student success factors in higher education
  • Demonstrated experience using data reporting, analytics, statistical software, or equivalent platforms to analyze and communicate data insights effectively.
  • Master's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience
