Scope of Work:

Provides receptionists services for facilities and the safeguarding of sensitive information IAW local Work Instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Answers incoming calls, directs callers to requested persons, takes phone messages and tracks personnel who enter/exit the facility using visitor's log.
  • Controls building access and performs physical security checks as required.
  • Issues badges to cleared contractor employees, Government employees, and to visitors who have a valid Visit Authorization Request (VAR) on file.
  • Cautions visitors against the possession of prohibited materials.
  • Maintains current access roster.
  • Maintains log of all personnel entering or leaving the facilities.
  • Maintains sentry posts as required.
  • Must be capable of comprehending and implementing instructions concerning the operation of mechanical equipment such as generators, air conditioners, fire protection equipment, and other emergency equipment.
  • May be required to operate motor vehicles in order to patrol assigned areas.
  • May be required to visually check vehicles entering restricted areas.
  • Performs other routine clerical work such as recording and transmitting messages, providing information to callers, and making appointments.
  • May assist the Supply technician with inventory and purchasing
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain interim secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain fully adjudicated secret security clearance.
  • Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
